HORSE SPELLING FACILITIES
Alanbar Lodge can only be accessed by the two main front gates which are closed and secured each night. There are two premises at the front gates with the occupants providing a watchful eye on all movements into and out of the property.
Feed and Tack Storage
A feed and tack storage area is available for all agisted horses if required. These areas allow you to store feed, hay and your tack in a lockable and weatherproof area for a small monthly fee.
A large, fully covered and lit round-yard provides an area where agisted horses can be lunged or handled prior to riding.
A 60m x 20m sand working arena is available to all agisted horses with a booking system in place that provides equal time for everyone to work their horses.
Additional Riding Areas
There is a dedicated, fully fenced 300m x 60m grassed general working area/jumps area for owners to work their horses.
Adjacent to the working arena is a fully enclosed wash bay, with fresh rain water pumped from our two large dams.
We have a bathroom close to the working arena, with toilet, hand basin and mirror.
There is a common area with table and chairs, refrigerator and a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee.
Alanbar Lodge provides the opportunity for owners of agisted horses to utilise the working arena, covered round-yard as well as a number of other general exercise areas for their horses.
We also encourage riders to take advantage of the wider paddock areas both at Alanbar Lodge and our adjoining property, where you will have access to over 250 acres of undulating hills and picturesque countryside to enjoy riding and exercising your horse.
Alanbar Lodge hosts a number of specialised clinics during the year. These are either single day or all-weekend events covering a range of equestrian disciplines. Contact us for information on forthcoming clinics.
